Rewards are great incentives, however; they now expect that any chore they are meant to do should have a fun benefit. I knew I was starting something when I did this. I have expained to them that picking up toys, shoes and clothes from the house are just part of living in the house, not a means for getting something out of doing what they are supposed to. Two of the kids understand what I mean, but the oldest and youngest have this sense of entitlement that reminds me of their mother. Yikes!
